My family and I would like to thank everyone for their kind words of encouragement and prayers. The benefit was a huge success and really touched our hearts. Thank you to all those involved in making it such a special night. We are also so thankful for the many donations made by the community. I am very proud to be a member of the CFD and not only the CFD but the entire brotherhood of firefighters. So many of the other local firefighters have also shown their support.I would like to thank the media for the positive stories on Tv and the paper. I know in some of the previous comments some people had suggestions and questions please feel free to email me at jamesdavis5100@gmail.com .Thanks to all the Davis family

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.

I read this and thought of all the people who have given so much to Jim and his family, whether you gave a monetary donation, your time or your prayers, it all has been truly appreciated! If it wasn't for the kindness of all of you "Hope for a Hero" would not be so successfull. Thank You to each and every one of you for giving Hope!

To Jim, Vanessa, Cassidy & Brooke...may the kindness that others have shown to you never leave your hearts. I hope it's a constant reminder that you have alot of people that care and love you. I hope through your journey you draw on the strengh that others have given to you. Always know you are not alone. You guys have become more then family to us, even more than best friends. We love you...forever and always!!! Keep praying and Hope will never leave you.
Love & Hugs Kevin & Keliegh

Jim, We are proud of the fact that you are from our firehouse. You are a fine example of the type of firefighter we want at the 24's. You are aggressive, hard nosed, and well respected. You have represented the CFD as a true professional and we are proud to call you our brother.

Jim,

It was great to see you on the 26th! I know you were very tired that evening but never the less...It has been way too long for an old friend from school. I realize that things aren't going the way you and Vanessa planned, if either of you need anything at all, do not hesitate to call. Hope your good days out number the bad. Next time I'm in town for a stint, let's catch up....Hanauer is down for it too...talk to you soon...Gunns

I want to advise you to contact Social Security ASAP. It will save you alot of headache. If I had done it sooner I wouldn't be going thru this loooong process now. Good luck with everything. I hope this helps you. Contact me if you need to. Best wishes,

Thank you for your service to the people of Cincinnati. I grew up in Cheviot a hundred years ago and now live in TN. If you ever find that Vanderbilt hospital could provide some help please contact me and we will try to help make your stay easier.

Dear Jim,
My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I too am a FF/Pm with the fire service and have been recently diagnosed with a paralyzed hemidiaphragm. Lots of dead-ends with Dr's and 3 years short of retirement leaves me feeling like I just fell short. If you have any information as to where I might seek some guidance it would be greatly appreciated. I understand the Mayo Clinic suggested yours was work related ( i would be interested if thats not too personal)Starting to grasp at straws. Hope I haven't crossed the line. Again You will be in our prayers
God Bless
